Meet Juliana

I'm a certified personal trainer, lifestyle coach, and the founder of CORE-GEOUS®. I offer online group fitness classes via Zoom and 1-on-1 personal training and lifestyle coaching at your home in Berlin. I speak English, French, German, and Turkish. But that doesn't tell you much about who I actually am. So here's the longer version.

How It Started

I never planned to become a personal trainer.

I studied Marketing and Entrepreneurship at McGill University in Montreal, followed by a graduate degree in Systems Design and Analysis. I spent years in the corporate world. I started a family. Life was on track.

Then my second child was born, and something shifted. Not just in my schedule — in my body. Despite being active my whole life — swimming team, jogging, aerobics — something wasn't working anymore. I was moving, but I wasn't strong. I was exercising, but I wasn't improving.

At 35 — an age when most ballet dancers have already retired, let alone begun — I enrolled in a taster class at the Suzanne Claveau School of Contemporary Dance in Montreal. That one class changed my life.

My Guru

Suzanne Claveau became my teacher, my mentor, and eventually my guardian angel. I call her my Miyagi. She taught me how the body actually works — not through machines and heavy weights, but through alignment, controlled movement, and the deep intelligence of ballet technique applied to everyday fitness.

Under her guidance, I got stronger. More graceful. My flexibility improved, and my posture followed. Aches and pains became things of the past — well, apart from that amazing post-workout soreness that means something is working.

When my family relocated abroad for work, I refused to give Suzanne up. In 2015, we started training together over Skype — long before COVID made online fitness mainstream. I was her only student doing this. It was unconventional, even a little absurd. But it worked. And it planted a seed: if personal training could be this effective through a screen, why couldn't I offer the same to others?

To this day, I still train with Suzanne and speak with her regularly. She remains one of the most important people in my life.

Berlin and the Birth of CORE-GEOUS

Our family moved to Berlin, and I quickly realised that returning to corporate life wasn't going to work — not with two young children who needed me present. At my kids' international school, I found a community of parents, many of them expats, many of them looking for exactly what I had discovered through Suzanne: a way to get strong, feel good, and have fun doing it.

I saw the opportunity. But I wanted to do it right.

I enrolled at the European Institute of Fitness and earned a certification recognised worldwide by NASM — so that wherever life took my family next, my credentials would follow. I studied pelvic floor training, pre- and postnatal exercise, corrective exercise, postural retraining, lifestyle coaching, and nutrition through ACSM and NASM.

In the fall of 2017, CORE-GEOUS was born.

Why I Do This

I teach what I believe in — because I live it. Every exercise I ask a client to do, I do myself. Every stretch, every push-up, every awkward position with a funny name. I'm not standing on the sidelines giving instructions. I'm right there, sweating alongside you.

A lot of personal trainers in this industry are young and male. I have something they don't: lived experience. Two pregnancies. A body that changed and had to be rebuilt. Years of trial and error figuring out what actually works — not in a textbook, but in real life, with real constraints, real exhaustion, and real demands on my time.

I know how much easier life becomes when you have someone in your corner — a set appointment, once a week, just for you. That weekly commitment to yourself is powerful. And it's my privilege to be part of it.

This business gave me the flexibility to raise my daughters. It gave me purpose beyond the corporate world. And it gave me a method — rooted in ballet, refined over nearly a decade — that I believe in with my whole heart.

I'm not done. Not even close.
